Deborah Ward
I am a writer and editor specializing in personal growth, emotional and mental health, and psychology. Writing about these subjects allows me to combine my love of writing with my desire to help others and shed some light on issues which are so often hidden in darkness.
My articles have been published in magazines such as Alive, BC Parent and Island Parent.
Some of my published articles include:
* “Living an Authentic Life” (Alive)
* "The Time Crunch" (BC Parent)
* "The Shyness Solution" (Alive)
* "Developing Your Child's Empathy" (Island Parent)
* "The Changing Face of Single Parenting" (BC Parent)
After receiving my English degree, I studied publishing in Toronto, where I worked as a book and magazine editor and writer for ten years. I also write fiction, including short stories which have been published in Southern Oregon University’s West Wind Review and Island Writer magazine. I’m currently working on a novel.
I live in Oxfordshire, England, and when I’m not writing I like to watch documentaries about American history, and read fiction, history, biography, psychology and personal growth books, among others. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family, walking through the English countryside.
